Un véritable coup de cœur pour Le Temps Retrouvé ❤️ Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis avec une immense chaleur par Frédéric et Josef deux hôtes adorables, attentionnés et profondément soucieux du moindre détail. La maison est un véritable havre de paix, niché au milieu des arbres. On y ressent immédiatement une belle énergie, une atmosphère paisible et ressourçante. Tout est décoré avec beaucoup de goût, avec cette impression que chaque objet, chaque espace a été choisi avec amour. Et que dire du petit déjeuner… aussi beau à regarder qu’excellent à déguster ! Une vraie parenthèse de plaisir. On sent que Frédéric et Joseph mettent énormément d’amour dans tout ce qu’ils font, et cela se ressent. C’est rare, précieux, et surtout… ça fait du bien. Un écrin de verdure à l’écart de la ville tout en étant très proche. Ravissante maison très confortable. Excellent petit déjeuner. Des hôtes très disponibles, de bons conseils. Plein de petites attentions tout au long du séjour. Je recommande vivement !

Le Temps Retrouvé is truly a hidden gem. From the moment of arrival Frédéric, Jozsef and Olia made us feel right at home in their impressive villa which has been restored and furnished with impeccable taste and an extraordinary attention to detail. The luscious grounds, glorious pool and lovely views make for a wonderfully atmospheric setting and a surprisingly quiet oasis. On top of that, Frédéric and Jozsef treat guests to amazing breakfasts with delicious produce, much of it homemade and locally sourced. We cannot commend their hospitality enough!

The other reviews say it all! Having spent 2 very relaxing and enjoyable weeks at LTR everything is just perfect. What an experience. Frederic & Jozsef and Olia too are perfect hosts. The house is stunning in a great location with every need catered for. We have stayed in many places around France and this is simply the best. Can’t wait to return.

My husband and I just returned from four days at Le Temps Retrouve, and could not be more happy with our experience. During a two-week vacation around the Perigord region, LTR was easily our favorite place to stay. The location is perfectly situated, just a 10-minute walk into the town center, but secluded and quiet. The easily accessible on-site parking was also very handy. The Louis Delluc room was the perfect retreat for us to restore after a day of exploration and the on-site pool was lovely for a quick dip in the afternoon. Frederic and Jozsef have interesting and eclectic tastes, and walking through the downstairs common rooms is like walking through an art museum. We absolutely loved our stay at LTR which allowed us the perfect base to explore the Perigord Noir region and its treasures. This place is a true haven; beautifully considered decor, tranquil grounds, wonderful rooms and truly lovely hospitality. Frederic & Jozsef, and of course Olia, are warm and helpful and have infused the property with their charm. We loved coming down to breakfast with the sound of the record player turning, soft music playing and being treated to homemade jams and local honey and treats. Two nights in Sarlat. Two nights at Le Temps Retrouvé. Two nights are simply not enough to drink in the beauty of this spectacular place. There are not enough superlatives in the dictionary to describe our incredible experience. Our host, Frédéric, could not have been more gracious or more helpful. He made great restaurant suggestions and even reservations, as well as suggestions for our one unscheduled day. And Olia made us feel right at home, truly! Downtown or old town Sarlat was so easy to get to, entirely walkable with easy access. The rooms could be considered art as much as what hung on the wall. The bed was so comfortable. If you want to feel pampered and embraced, then this is the right spot for you! This is more than just a Bed and Breakfast, it's an experience. Stayed here for one week to work and do some sightseeing. Frederic and Jozsef were such amazing hosts. The property itself is stunning with no detail left unattended. Breakfast was delicious, and lots of different spaces throughout the house for working, reading, working a puzzle or just listening to music. Rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated with a pleasant smell. Down the hall you have access to coffee, tea, some light drinks and even some cookies! You won't be disappointed here.

Turn-of-the-Century 5-Bedroom in Sarlat (1 Av. de la Gare) Wonderful stay at this spacious, character-filled 5-bedroom house in Sarlat-la-Canéda. The location is excellent—near the train station and a short walk to the medieval old town—and it’s a perfect base for the Dordogne / Périgord Noir (Beynac, La Roque-Gageac, Lascaux). Historic charm, practical layout, super convenient. Highly recommended. Note: Best suited for adults; and older children.

What a treasure-a paradise perfectly situated within walking distance from Sarlat center. This gated, exquisitely well-appointed B & B is privately located on over an acre of peaceful terrain-beautifully manicured gardens, pool, lovely sitting areas throughout to enjoy. Rooms are creatively decorated and confortable offering every amenity. Breakfast-a delight!-fresh baguette, flaky croissants, homemade jams and fresh fruit. Most especially, Frederic and Jozsef are perfect hosts. We had an unforgettable stay at Le Temps Retrouvé in Sarlat. From the moment you step through the gates, you are surrounded by beauty: the landscaped grounds, the elegant chateau, and the warm welcome from Frédéric, Jozsef, and their lovely dog Olia. Algemeen: Wij zijn hier nu meermaals geweest en inmiddels voelt het bezoeken van het werkelijk prachtige huis met tuin als thuiskomen. Frédéric(en Jozsef en Olia) voelen niet als hoteleigenaren, of zelfs niet als gastheren, maar als vrienden. Huis, locatie en kamers: het huis is met veel zorg, aandacht en liefde gerestaureerd. Het huis en de kamers zijn elegant en smaakvol ingericht met oog voor de geschiedenis en cultuur van de regio.
